Scooby Doo Double Feature! The Witch's Ghost and Alien Invaders!
After Ben Ravencroft, a famous horror writer of whom Velma is a fan, assists her and Mystery Inc. in solving a case at a museum in San Fransico, he invites them to his hometown of Oakhaven, Massachusetts. When they arrive, they find the town's Mayor Corey has converted it into a tourist attraction based on the ghost of Sarah Ravencroft, Ben's ancestor who was persecuted as a witch and executed by the Puritan townspeople in 1657. Ben disputes this, claiming that Sarah was a Wiccan who used herbal remedies to heal the less fortunate and that he has spent years searching for her medical journal to prove her innocence.
While Scooby and Shaggy are chased by Sarah's ghost, the gang is drawn to the Hex Girls, an all-female gothic rock band led by Sally "Thorn" McKnight, during one of their rehearsals. Fred and Daphne follow Thorn and, upon discovering her seemingly performing a ritual, believe the Hex Girls are witches.
While driving the Mystery Inc. gang through the desert amidst a sandstorm, Shaggy accidentally drives onto government property before a UFO sighting causes him to crash near a small town. Shaggy and his dog Scooby stay with the group's van, the Mystery Machine, while the others head towards town to find help. Not long after, the pair encounter aliens who chase them into town. After reuniting with their friends in a diner, a waitress named Dottie says the locals have never seen aliens, but have seen strange lights and hear strange sounds at night. Chef Sergio adds cattle have vanished overnight, causing people to leave town. When a patron claims to have taken pictures of aliens, the gang travel to his home, only to learn he made paintings. Nonetheless, he offers to let them stay the night.
