Succession Complete Series Blu Ray Review!

Image
Power, politics, money...it's all in the family of this provocative, bitingly funny drama series about a highly dysfunctional dynasty. When aging, uber-wealthy patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox), CEO of one of the world's largest media and entertainment conglomerates, decides to retire, each of his four grown children follows a personal agenda that doesn't always sync with those of their siblings--or of their father. After Logan changes his mind about stepping down, he endures the often-childish bickering of his heirs while others in their orbit position themselves for a post-Logan world that seems imminent, though not predestined. Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook and Alan Ruck co-star as Logan's children; also with Hiam Abbass, Nicholas Braun and Matthew Macfadyen. Length:  2340 Specs:  Blu-ray Video Resolution/Codec:  1080p AVC/MPEG-4 Aspect Ratio(s):  1.78:1 Audio Formats:  English: DTS-HD MA 5.1 Subtitles/Captions:  English SDH Special Feat...

Richard Pryor Live On The Sunset Strip 4K Review!

Image
On Sunset Strip, Pryor relates two life-changing experiences. The first is his trip to "the motherland," Africa. As funny as is the routine in which Pryor gives voice to a couple of cheetahs poised to prey on unsuspecting gazelles, he brings the audience up short with a moving revelation that leads him to forswear ever again calling another black person the "N-word." The second, of course, is his near-fatal freebasing accident, which Pryor at first jokingly passes off as an accident involving milk and cookies. Then, he takes the audience step by harrowing step through his growing cocaine addiction (abetted by his untrustworthy pipe which speaks to him in reassuring tones), alienation from friends, including the formidable Jim Brown ("Whatcha gonna do?"), the explosion that resulted in third-degree burns over the upper half of his body, and finally, the agonizing rehab. Feature presented in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision, scanned from the original camera...

The Witch's Ghost and Alien Invaders!   After Ben Ravencroft, a famous horror writer of whom Velma  is a fan, assists her and Mystery Inc. in solving a case at a museum in  San Fransico , he invites them to his hometown of Oakhaven, Massachusetts. When they arrive, they find the town's Mayor Corey has converted it into a tourist attraction based on the ghost of Sarah Ravencroft, Ben's ancestor who was persecuted as a witch and executed by the Puritan townspeople in 1657. Ben disputes this, claiming that Sarah was a  Wiccan   who used herbal remedies to heal the less fortunate and that he has spent years searching for her medical journal to prove her innocence. While Scooby and Shaggy are chased by Sarah's ghost, the gang is drawn to the Hex Girls, an all-female gothic rock band led by Sally "...

Elsa offers to hire Michael but after finding out she was married he rejected her offer. Arthur showed up to a work hall Michael was at to offer him a job. After a night of drinks Arthur offered Michael and his friend Goldie a job on his yacht. On the yacht Michael meets George Grisby. Grisby learns Michael had killed a man before and offered him $5,000 to kill a man again.  The movie was great. Filmed in 1948 and in black and white from Columbia Pictures. You have Orson Welles who not only directed the movie but played Michael. Rita Hayworth plays Elsa and Everett Sloane plays Arthur. This movie had a great soundtrack, great acting, excellent story and a lot of plot twist. There is an awesome scene at a fun house. Btw $5,000 in 1948 is around $65,000 today. Just overall a fantastic film. I giv...
