Juror #2, Blu Ray Review!

Image
Juror #2 is about Justin Kemp. He finds himself on the jury during a very high profile murder-trial. The problem is he is having a very difficult time trying to figure out what he is going to do. He has more info than he is letting on but he has to figure out if he wants to give the info to them or not. If he gives it to them he could sway the rest of the jury to either convict or free the murder.  This film is directed by Clint Eastwood and is very well done. Not a huge fan of Nicholas Hoult but what drew my attention was JK Simmons and Kiefer Sutherland. The story was a big draw as well. You have a man with a moral dilemma who has to decide if he wants to give info to the jury that would either convict or free a murder. What does he do? I enjoyed this movie a lot I give it 3.5 out of 5. I would highly recommend it. I would say it had one downfall which when you watch it you will know exactly what I am talking about.  This movie available to purchase digital right now ...

Conclave, 4K Review!

Image
Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with one of the world's most secretive and ancient events, participating in the selection of a new pope. Surrounded by powerful religious leaders in the halls of the Vatican, he soon uncovers a trail of deep secrets that could shake the very foundation of the Roman Catholic Church. Conclave was a very intriguing movie. After watching and then doing some research though not based on a true story or events, it is inspired by them. A few people have said how it is very, very close to home on how things are done. The acting is amazing, the camera work is incredible. The only problems I had were there are scenes where they use Latin and Spanish without having the English subtitles for them. It was said to leave it more of a mystery for the average/normal viewer to wonder. Either way I really enjoyed this movie. Special Features, Sequestered: Inside Conclave. Feature Commentary with Edward Berger. Digital Code!!! Being a fan of both John Lithgow and Stanley ...

The Searchers 4K Review!

Image
John Wayne and John Ford made The Searchers a landmark Western with an indelible image of the frontier and the people who challenged it. Although not nominated for any awards at the time of its release, the film has since been widely acknowledged as one of the supreme triumphs of the genre. The Searchers was placed on the National Film Registry in 1989 and ranked number 12 on the American Film Institute's 2008 list of "100 Greatest American Films of all time."   Wayne plays an ex-Confederate soldier searching for his niece (Natalie Wood), captured by the Comanches who massacred his family. He won't surrender to hunger, thirst, the elements or loneliness. And in his five-year search, he encounters something unexpected: his own humanity. Beautifully shot by Winton C. Hoch (four-time Academy Award winner), thrillingly scored by Max Steiner (21 Academy Award nominations, 3 wins) and memorably acted by a wonderful ensemble including Jeffrey Hunter (King o...
