Joy lives with her abusive boyfriend Derek. After a night where he almost kills her she breaks free from him. Months later her best friend Carmen talks her into to going to weekend group therapy trip. There are two other women with them Tara and Shaina. All of these women have went through something very extreme/tormenting. While in the wilderness Joy starts to see and hear thing she believes it is Derek. Others telling her nothing is going on slowly start to see and hear things as well. Unbeknownst to them there is something out there. The question is will anyone get out alive. 

I liked this one. The idea of being strong enough to stand up and get out of an abusive relationship is amazing. Too many people have to go through it both men and women and they feel they have to stay or that it is their fault. Also it shows that you have friends even when you feel you don't. I didn't care for the thing that is after them but they had to use something. I did notice if you look hard enough during one of the scenes it looks like a military sign says do not enter which makes me believe they know about it. I give Dark Nature 3 out of 5. I liked the story, lacks on the acting and dialog but makes up in the story for me. Blu-Ray will be released on July 25th and will be $14.99 on Amazon.
