We start off with Billy and his grandparents giving him an NES for Christmas and how happy him and his grandpa are. Then Aliens blowing up the Earth and Billy and Jay are in starfighters fighting back. Billy keeps telling Jay to stop and wake up they are being watched and you come to find out Jay was day dreaming. After goofing off they hit a box that causes a vase to drop and break. Not seconds later they are fired. While home with Eric and Chief, Billy keeps telling Jay they need to find a job. Seeing this garage hunter show on tv Jay says that is what they need to do. After telling him no they need a real job Billy then agrees. They go to a yardsale and find some go bots as well as a box of older video games. Before they can buy them two guys show up Morton and Roy. Morton lets them know those are his games he just bought them. Jay reminds Billy he had an NES system at his grandparents house and they should go and get it. Morton tells Roy they have to get that system!

After searching his grandparents house and coming up with nothing he remembers his cousin Chris got it from the grandmother. They decide they are going on a trip to get it. We get to see Chiefs and Erics new car for their Ghost Getters company. It is an older station wagon. Chief acts disappointed at first but loves it. They to a restaurant which has a waiter breakdown on them while Eric is taking a dump. There is a tarantula on the waiter and they all scream and run out including Eric who is holding his under ware. He explains they had no toilet paper and he needed something to wipe with and that he wasn't even finished wiping. Morton has Roy in the back of the station wagon and Eric throws his under ware in the back and it lands on Roys face. They let Eric drive even though they know he hallucinates sometimes when he gets tired. Freaking out Roy is telling Morton he is sure he is hearing 4 different snoring patterns so he is unsure who is driving the car. Seeing the disappointed Gnomes Eric freaks out and starts driving erratically. Going off some hills Billy screaming hit the break the car finally comes to a stop. They happen to be close to Billys cousins place. Walking up Chris pulls a bow on them. After talking with Chris for a bit he lets them know he traded the NES when he was a kid at a place called Jars. And said that they went out of business but he was told they were at the owners house that is haunted by his spirit.

They have to talk Eric into going though he is a Ghost Getter. They get there and go in but Eric says no until he hears howling outside then he runs in. They get to the basement and find games. Jays phones dies so Chief rigs a torch so they can see everything and they find the NES box. Jay ends up setting it on fire with the torch and after it goes out they realize that it was just the box and contents in it no system. They hear walking above them and go to investigate it and notice a guy standing at the door. Running up the stairs to get away they are caught. The guy shoots Eric in his backside. He believes the guys are assassins. After talking for a bit they tell him they are looking for their system. He lets them know it should still be at the store bricked in one of the walls. So they leave again to find it. They end up at this LARP/Table Top gaming place. While there the group is told by a mobster and his posse that they all better be gone by noon the next day. One guy there uses Eric backside to draw out a map to where the place should be. They end up at a fair where Roy acts like an Alien to kidnap Eric. Morton and Roy tell Eric they want to see the map or they are going to electrocute him. He drops his pants but has sweat away some of the map. The guy running the fair scares Morton and shocks Roy. He helps with the map but again they get nowhere.

They end up back at the LARP/Table Top club and now it is time, the mobster has showed up. Billy sees a bricked up wall and it hits him. He ask about the building to find out it used to be an old rental store. He has found the bricked wall he had been looking for the whole time. Jay grabs Eric and they go to distract Lemmy the mobster and his posse. They are trying to act like MIB but it didn't work. Chief runs out to help and nothing. Billy does break the wall to find his NES. But Lemmys posse has made it in and captured everyone. Now telling everyone they are going to cut off all their limbs to make them torsos you hear a rumbling. It is all the NERDS!!! Coming together to stop Lemmy. The main one Pat chases Lemmy to a cliffside and Lemmy falls off. They stop the posse but Morton tells them Roy has taken and left with the NES. They find him at a Flea Market trying to sell it and then he runs off again going to a zipline to escape but Chief hits him with a rocket from the Ghost Getter Wagon. Billy and Jay get the NES and go home. They let Morton play first even though Jay called dibs.

This movie was way better than I expected. Being low budget I didn't expect a lot honestly. I was thinking it would look like found footage/handheld filming and it was professionally done. Edited well and sounds great. All the movie references are great as well. Like when Chief freaks out about the car it is from Dumb and Dumber. They still have a bunch of their own trademark lines from The Game Chasers show. I wish there was more of Dodongo, Melvor and Tim. I could be wrong but they have a lot of names of guys that are their friends so I think it could be a nod to them like Rufus and Pat. Jars was the place they rented from as kids so that was a nice touch. I give it 3.5 out of 5. If you like this review please hit that follow button, share the page and leave a comment.
